Candidate for Chisholm
I grew up in regional Victoria, and have had a long career working in the health and catering industry, including extensive experience in aged care. I have three adult children and six grandchildren. I’ve also been a small business owner, having operated as a photographer for many years.
I know all too well the failures within the aged care system, including the lack of adequate staff to care-recipient ratios, the ghastly food and the rationing of sanitary products. I believe in putting people first, ahead of profits, and as a candidate for Derryn Hinch’s Justice Party for the seat of Chisholm, will fight for older Australians. I’m proud to say that Derryn has refused to cut pensions and other payments to older Australians during his time in Parliament, and was the first politician to introduce legislation into the parliament to make aged care ratios law.
